The Atheist Who Rebuts Atheists
Atheists say dumb things, too.
I’m an atheist.
“Atheist” just means I lack a belief in gods. You know, just like all children are atheists, until somebody teaches them a certain god.
But I’m not committed to atheism. If later evidence supports another conclusion better, I’ll change my mind. I’ve done that before. Lots.
Really, I’m just a critical thinker. If critical thinking leads me to believe in a god, then I will believe. Especially if that god cares about me. It would kiss my ego to think that a powerful, magical being cared about me, personally.
Because I’m a critical thinker, I’m loyal only to good ideas. I have no loyalty to atheism, libertarianism, or even other critical thinkers. Only good ideas.
Which means I’m happy to tear apart bad ideas whether they are spoken by religious people or atheists. And I’m happy to praise good ideas whether they are spoken by religious people or atheists.
That’s what this page is about. Each time I write, I’ll find two articles/interviews/whatever. One by a theist, one by an atheist. Sometimes I’ll find articles with good ideas, and praise both of them. Those are in green. Sometimes I’ll find articles with bad ideas, and criticize both of them. Those are in red.
For the title of this page, I focused on the fact that I’ll be criticizing atheist arguments, because that’s probably what will interest people the most.
